These are to Certifie that the Bearer here of Lancelett ap Hugh hath been in Actualll Service for his Ma[jes]ty in the Regiment of S[i]r Michaell Erneley for the space of two yeares and since vnder severall p[er]sons of quality who served his late Ma[jes]ty of Blessed memory where hee continued faithfull and Constant w[i]thout deserting the same and received dangerous wounds by haveing his Skull broken in Montgomery and is a poore & honest man welbeloved among his neighbors and deserves very much to bee Considered and received into the number of those who receive a pension: given vnder my hand & seale this 8th of March in the year of our lord 1664:
