To John wyn and Francis Manley Esq[ui]r[e]s treasurers of the Maymed soldiers for ye County afores[ai]d

Forasmuch as wee have received testimony by certificate vnd[e]r the hand and seale of Major Thomas vaughan that Lancellott ap Hugh of wrexham in the sayd Countie yeom[an] hath byn in Actuall service for his late Ma[jes]ty of blessed memorie for ye space of divers yeares duringe ye late wars, that he hath continued constant, faithfull & Loyall, that he hath receaved divers wounds, particularly that his skull was broken in the service, That hee hath from tyme to tyme exposed himselfe for the service of his late Ma[jes]tie and of his Ma[jes]ty that now is to ye hazard of his life and fortune, by reason whereof he is become soe poore that wee haue thought fitt to make to ye said Lancelott the allowance of the sum[m]e of five shillings towards his support and Mayntenance till ye nexte quarter sessions to bee holden for ye s[ai]d Countie, and that then hee maye have an yearly pension of twentie shillings to bee paid quarterly towards his supporte and mayntenance wee doe therefore hereby Authorize you and either of you vpon receit hereof In pursuiance of an acte of this present Parl[iamen]t for Releefe of poore maymed officers and soldiers who have faithfullye served his Ma[jes]ty and his Royall father in the late wars to paye vnto ye s[ai]d Lancellott the sum[m]e of five shillings and to allowe vnto him by approbation of ye nexte quart[e]r sessions the sum[m]e of twentie shillings yearly for w[hi]ch this shall bee your suff[icien]t war[ran]t Given vnd[e]r our hands and seales the 4th daye of Maye anno R[e]g[iu]s Caroli s[e]c[un]di Anglie &c decimo sexto 1664
