To the Right wor[shipfu]ll the kings Ma[jes]t[y]s Justices of the peace for the County of Denbigh

These are to certify yo[u]r wor[shi]ps. That the bearer hereof John Williames of Nantglyn the did  faithfully serve his late Ma[jes]tie king Charles ye first of renouned memory in the late vnhappie warres first as a souldier then as afterwards as a dru[m]mer in my Regim[en]t vnder the Comaund of Capt[ain] Goodman, In w[hi]ch said service he receaved seu[er]all wounds & bruises by reason whereof he is deprived of his heareing & his health is much impaired And that hee hath not deserted the said s[er]vice but continued all along firme & loyall to ye Royall cause As wittnes my hand date the sixteenth day of Aprill 1669.
