The bearer haueing bin a souldier in the regiment of Col[one]l Hugh Wynne vnder the command of Capt[ain] Ed[war]d Goodman att the siege of Chester, & elsewhere is of late become very crazy haueing allmost quite lost his hearing intends to petition you the next quarter to bee admitted a maymed soldier, in the place of Fletcher his neighbour, late Goaler [sic], deade since ye last quarter: my request is that you will please to fauour him in his motion, w[hi]ch If effected I question not till hee may compasse his designe: I had waited vpon you this time att Wrexham: If our greate sessions had not bin soe neare: Be pleas[e]d to pardon this trouble & pr[e]sent my humble service to y[ou]r Good lady. Accept of ye like to y[ou]rselfe from y[ou]r most affectionate Cosen & humble servant
