The certificate for John Maddocks of Agden, Cheshire, Trinity 1670

Wee the inhabitants of the p[ar]ish of Mallpas whose names are herevnto subscribed doe humbly certify the truth of this petic[i]oen herevnto annexed and humbly desire hee may be admitted a pentioner hee always haueing beene true and faythfull to his late Ma[jes]ties service neuer adheareing or in any wyse combineing w[i]th the adverse p[ar]ty
I do verily beleeue the truth of the Petition heereunto annex’d and therefore willingly joyne with the petitioner in his request
