These are to Certifie all Whom it may Concerne that John Hulme of Fulcham in the Parish of Wilmeslow in the Countie of Chester, Labourer was A listed souldier, in the Regiment of Col[one]l Tho[mas] Leigh of Adlinton And vnder the Command of Capt[ain] John Davenport in the searuice of his Late Maiestie of Euer blesed memorie, And beinge Com[m]anded to March to Macclesfeild, In the said Countie for the serice {o}f his Maiestie, against Col[one]l Robert Duckenfeild {w]ho was Imployed there for the Parliam[en]t about 18 yeares since, And against his Maiestie, then and there in the said Towne of Maccleffeild the said John Hulme, Receiued, Many wounds on seuerall p[ar]tes of his Bodie, and alsoe haueinge Lost his Right hand in that seruice, that hee is Altogether vnabled by it, And alsoe A poore man wich wee the officers that are nowe Liueinge doe Giue it vnder o[u]r Hands And seales this Second day of Aprill In the yeare of o[u]r Lord one thousand six hundred & one:
