Gent[le]men &
my honored freinds, I am at pr[e]sent an earnest Sutor vnto you in the behalf of this gent[le]man the bearer hereof Mr Swayne, he hath lost the vse of his Limbs in the service of the p[ar]lament, by w[hi]ch meanes he is brought vnto very greate extreamitys, and although he is a gent[le]man well descended, and his Father liued in good fashion whoe haveing placed his sonne in a way of trade here in London thought him sufficiently p[ro]vided for, but soe it is at this tyme, that by meanes of his wounds, he is become an obiect of yo[u]r mercy & charity. Lett me therefore beseech you to take him vnto your Consideration & deale with him according to Justice & mercy, you will thereby obleige him as alsoe
