Are to Certifie all whom this May con[c]erne That James Clarke was a soldier in Collonell Leigh Company in the County of Chester and serued as a Loyall & faythfull subject to his Late Ma[jes]ties of euer blessed Memory all along suffuring & enduring Much Misery for his Loyalty & faythfulnes, Wherefore wee doe herby recommend him as [illegible] a person fitt to receiue an act of parliam[en]t for aged & indigent souldiers. In testymony whereof wee haue herevnto set o[u]r hands for Confirmac[i]on of the same this 12th of Sept[ember] 1662
