To the Hono[ura]ble the Justices of Peace & Com[issioner]s appoynted for the releife of the truely Loyall & Indigent souldiers Maryners widdowes & orphants for the County of Chester

These are to Certifie That it doth appeare vnto vs That James Clarke of Adlington in the County of Chester was in his Late Ma[jes]ti[e]s service of euer blessed Memory and served as a Loyall & Faythfull souldier & subject from the beginning of the Late warre vnto the end of the same and never adhered to o[u]r knowledg to the Late vsurped power; nor hath since his Ma[jes]ties returne receiued any releife or reward, We the Com[mi]s[sione]rs of Westm[inste]r In London doe Therefore recommend him as A person fitt to receiue such pension or allowances as is apoynted by act of parliam[en]t for releife of all those who haue for there Loyallty suffered for his Late Ma[jes]tie In witnesse whereof wee haue herevnto sett to o[u]r hands & seales this [blank] day of September 1662
