The certificate for Elizabeth Tresham of Aldwincle, Northamptonshire, 3 October 1668

Gentlemen:
Being certified very well of ye sufferings of ye relations and amongst ye rest her ye husband of Mrs Tresham; in his Majesties service; for w[hi]ch she since hath had a pension amongst others; but at present it [illegible] is taken away; now truly as I am informed unless you take some care either by renewing ye pension or by giueing some sume of monies whereby she may receive some releife she and her child must perish; w[hi]ch is hard being brought to this, upon her relations loyalty, all you that wish well to ye party, (w[hi]ch I hope all doe) assiste her and oblige
