The second certificate for Edward Barker of Walsall, Staffordshire, 6 August 1655

Permitt the Bearer hereof Edward Baker souldier in my Comp[any] in S[i]r William Constables Regim[en]t to passe to Wassall in the County of Stafford without lett or Mollestation he being disbanded and discharged by an order from his highness the Lord Protector which order was to reduce every Comp[any] in ye sayd Regim[en]t to seauenty. And the Mayor and Maiestrates of Wassall aforesaid are hereby desired to provide for the Bearer hereof and to be a meanes to gett him a pension according to the Statute of the 43 Eliz. Cap 3 he being a disabled souldier and not capable of further service (in regard that he was borne there). Giuen under my hand and seal in Lynn this 6th of August 1655.
