These are to Certify That this bearer Christopher Cleeter was divers yeeres Leiu[tenan]t to S[i]r Richard Norton in the Regim[en]t Comanded by Coll[one]l [sic.] S[i]r Humphry Bennet in the service of his late Royall Ma]jes]ty of ever blessed Memory wherein he received severall wounds, & is disabled by his labour to mainteyne himselfe & family And that for his Constancy & Loyalty to his Ma[jes]t[y’]s interest all along he hath bin a great sufferer by imprisonm[en]t & otherwise to his vtter vndoeing And therefore doe humbly reco[m]mend him to whom it may Concerne in order to his releife In Testimony whereof we haue herevnto subscribed
