These are to certifie whom it may concerne that John Legg was Corp[ora]ll in Col[one]l Butlers Troop and after in Capt[ain] Mullinaxe and since in Capt[ain] Greens troop from the 5th of Aprill 1645 vnto the 17th of August 1648 and was then slaine in actuall service against S[i]r Henery Lyngin and all his time to his death he approued himselfe an honest faythfull and valiant man Wittnes my hand this 24th Febr[uary] [16]48.
