The petition on behalf of William Manning of Nantwich, Cheshire, Epiphany 1673

The humble petition of [illegible] William Man[n]ing of Namtw[i]ch humbly sheweth

<humbly sheweth>

That the s[ai]d William Man[n]ing was Serieant to the foote company of Collo[ne]ll Robert Broughton dureing the late troubles & that hee behaued himself w[i]th courage & Industry in his place, May it Therefore please this Hono[ura]ble bench to take this poore mans condition into Consideration & the rather because the poore man hath lost the vse of both his armes in the late seruice, & that the bench will bee gratiously pleased to allow him A pention for his better Maintenance in his old Age & your Orator will pray
