The 12th of July 1651

Whereas Edward Thorneton was prest in the towneshipp of Borscow for the servis of Ireland & now being forceed to leave behind him a yong Child now fower yers of age, & his wife ded w[hi]ch this man heathe left this Child w[i]th a poure sickely & [?Meane] womman w[hi]ch is not eble to get any thing for her selfe with out the relief of others soe that the Child is liklye to Com to gret distres without the Commesiration of this Honnereble bench will ordar relife for h it wherin the poure petissioner will be bound to prey for y[o]u,
