The petition on behalf of several maimed soldiers, Derbyshire, 5 July 1648

To the Right Wor[shi]p[fu]ll Com[m]ittee for this County of Darby, the humble petition of George Blagraue there humble servant sheweth

That whereas at the late fight at Willoughby in Nottinghamshire, there was greevously wounded some 5 or 6 of Captayne Greenwoods souldiers whose names are subscribed w[hi]ch souldiers: by gods blessings vppon his indeavours hee hath Cured, to his great Cost, Care & paynes: And as by a former petition soe now hee desireth as hee deserveth 20 nobles, w[hi]ch hee hopes you will not scruple at.

These be therefore in humble manner to intreat you to Consider the premises and grant order for the present payment, for his worke donne and your peticioner as by duty bound will every pray &c
