To the Right wor[shipfu]ll the Justices of Peace At the Quarter Sessions holden at Manchester.

The petic[i]on of Jo[h]n Ray of Bury Lane.

Humbly Sheweth.

That yo[u]r petic[i]oner hath for theise three yeares last past and vpwards kept and Mayntayned Grace Broome the daughter of Jo[h]n Broome late of Bury aforesayd now a Soldier in the service of this Comon wealth in Scotland, and hath not received any moneys or accomadacions to her mayntenance during the sayd term he being a very poore man.

Humbly desires yo[u]r worships order to the Churchwardens of Bury for some releefe towards the mayntenance of the same child.

& yo[u]r petic[i]oner will ever pray &c.

Grandfathers Sworne to pay 2 d. a weeke & the ch[urchwardens] what they conceave fitt desires
