The humble peticion of William Witticombe of Stoakenham in this County

Humbly sheweth

That whereas your pet[itione]r being in his late Maj[es]ties Service of euer blessed memory vnder the Command and in the Company of S[i]r Edmund Fortescue in the seige against Lime your pet[itione]r was Shott & wounded in fourteene severall places att one tyme, haveing lost his arme & the use of his other hand & otherwaise disabled, noe one ever haueing taken any Compassion vppon your pet[itione]r Yo[u]r pet[itione]r hath liued in extreame need misery & necessitie

In tender Commisseracon of the pr[e]misses, for that yo[u]r pet[itione]r is like to perrish & without any meane or helpe to supply his need doe humbly pray yo[u]r wor[shi]pps to be graciously pleased to graunt yo[u]r pet[itione]r a continuall penc[i]on towards his maintaynance. & yo[u]r pet[itione]r shall euer pray for yo[u]r wor[shi]pps &c.
