To the Right Worship[fu]ll the Justices of the peace for the County of Stafford

The humble petic[i]on of William Stevenson.

Most humbly sheweth unto your good Wor[shi]ps that your petic[i]on[e]r was many yeares a soldier in the service of the parliam[en]t of England, under the Command of Colonel Rugeley, Captaine Stone and others, In which service your petic[i]on[e]r received many wounds, whereby hee is disabled to worke, for the maintaineinge of himselfe and wife, and foure small Children,

In tender Considerac[i]on whereof yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r most humbly beseecheth your wor[shi]ps to grant yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r some maintaineance out of the Countrey for the support of himselfe wife and Children, as is usually allowed to maimed soldiers.

And yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r will euer pray
