To the Right Wor[shippfu]ll His Ma[jes]ties Justices of the Peace for this County of Wilts[hire], at the Quarter Sessions of the Publique Peace held at Warminster the seventeenth day of July Anno Dom[ini] 1666

The Humble Petic[i]on of William Sheappard of Barwick St Lennard in this County Blacksmith

Sheweth

That yo[u]r Petic[i]oner was in actuall service for his Late Ma[jes]tie of Blessed memory vnder the Com[m]and of Bartholomew Barnes Captaine, in the Regiment of Col[one]l Barnes & a Corporall ag[ains]t Lime, And hath bin often imprisoned, Last in Sir George Boothes time, And hath Ever since continued faithfull & Loyall, & hath bin very ready in any thing that might tend to the service of his Sacred Ma[jes]tie that now is, And that yo[u]r Petic[i]oner haveing heretofore received a Certaine Stypend; But the reason why he hath not received it of late was by reason of an information given that he served the Parliam[en]t which being false, Humbly desireth yo[u]r Wor[shi]pps to take it into yo[u]r Considerac[i]on, that it may continue as it was

And yo[u]r Petic[i]oner shall Ever pray &c
