To his Maj[es]ties Justices of the peace for the s[ai]d County now of the Hono[ura]ble Bench att the Castle of Exon
The Humble Petition of William Rounsafield of Broadclist in the said County Coardwinder
Humbly Sheweth
That yo[u]r poore Petitioner was formerly a Souldjer vnder the Command of his Grace, George Duke of Albemarle dec[ease]d In the yeare of our Lord God 1660: And was Instrumentall to the happie Arivall of his late Maj[es]tie King Charles the Second: And being now Sixty & eight yeares of Age or vpwards, and his Work Almost done; and not able to Subsist or Maintaine himselfe by his Labour; is now become Chargable and forced to have Releife of the said p[ar]ish of Broadclist: Doth therefore humbly request and Desire yo[u]r Hono[u]rs that you would be pleased to grant him some of his Maj[es]ties Money allowed for Maintainance of Maimed Souldjers: Which if yo[u]r Hono[u]rs please to Grant Yo[u]r poore Petitioner shall (as in duty bound)
