To the Kings most Excellent Majestie.

The humble petition of William Rawlandson.

Humbly Sheweth

That whereas yo[u]r faithfull Subject haueing spent the greatest part of these 17 or 18 yeares past in the Actuall service of your Ma[jes]tie, and your Ma[jes]ties Royall father of ever blessed memory in England and Ireland vnder his Excellencie the Marques of Ormond, and haueing dureing that time received a large proportion of the miseries incident to a souldier as Wounds, and Severall Imprisonm[en]ts in the time of Warr which hath caused great infirmityes in yo[u]r pet[itione]r. Yet through the mercye of God hath liued to see the Shame and Confusion of your Maj[es]ties enemies, and an establishment of your Sacred Maj[es]tie.

Your poore petic[i]on[e]r humbly craues yo[u]r Maj[es]ties most gracious favour to conferr vpon him a poore pentioners place in the Castle of Windsor

And yo[u]r pet[itione]r as in duty bound shall ever pray &c
