To the Right W[orshi]pp[fu]ll the Justices of the Peace for the County of North[amp]ton[shire]

The humble petic[i]on of William Randolph of Piddington in the County of North[amp]ton[shire]

Humbly Sheweth

That yo[u]r pet[itione]r beinge a soldier in the service & for the defence of the late kinge Charles of eu[er] blessed memory in the Army of the Earle of Newcastle vnder the Commaund of S[i]r Thomas Glenham dureinge the time of the Siege ag[ains]t Carlisle yo[u]r pet[itione]r beinge in that Garison by his frequent watchings and hard service was sorely visited w[i]th sicknes of w[hi]ch he is not yet recovered and by reason thereof is become very poore and vnable to maintaine himselfe and hath caused his mother beinge an aged poore woman to spend the greatest parte of her estate towards his maintenance whereby shee is now much Impoverished & vnable to releive yo[u]r pet[itione]r any longer there beinge very much of yo[u]r pet[itione]rs pay in Arreare w[hi]ch he cannot yet receive

May it therefore please yo[u]r W[orshi]pps to consider of the case of yo[u]r pet[itione]r and to graunt him a pension to helpe him in his p[rese]nt distresse

And yo[u]r pet[itione]r shall ever pray &c

The petic[i]oner is allowed xx s. yearely out of the west division when it shall fall
