The petition of William Lloyd of Llanfair-is-Gaer, Carnarvonshire, 16 April 1672

To the right worshipp[fu]ll the Justices of peace sittinge at the Quarter sessions held at Carnarvon the 16th of Aprill 1672.
The humble peticon of William Lloyd of Llanvaye Isgaer in the sayd County labourer.
<Humbly sheweth>
That wheras your poore peticoner made it to appeare to the Justices of peace of this County that vpon his peticon to them in that behalfe heretofore exhibitted that your peticoner was qualified according to the late Acte of Parliament made in the xiiiith yeare of his majesties raigne king Charles the Second &c hath been once admitted as a pentioner to haue a stipend of fortie shillings to be yearely payd him by the treasurers of the maymed souldiers mize & accordingely did receave the same for the space of three yeares & vpward vntill the Last Quarter sessions held at Pwllely Conwey about three years since at which time your poore peticoner by reason of his obsinacy & disobedience to & towards the Justices of Peace then & there present which was occasioned by reason of his owne Lunacie wherewith he is sometimes taken especiallye since his [illegible] was by the sayd Justices expunged & taken ordered to be taken out of the maymed souldiers mize.
Wherefore may it please your worshipps to consider the premisses & pyttie the deplorable Condicon of your petticoner being heartilye sorrie for the offence by him comitted at Pullhely Conwey aforesaid & that you be pleased to readmitt your peticoner to haue & receaue the yearly stipend formerly ordered vnto him & your peticoner shall ever pray &c.
18 April 1672 vpon this peticon the peticoner was admitted to receaue xx s. stipend yearely. p[er] Cur[ia].
