The petition of William David of Llanfair Talhaiarn, Denbighshire, 25 April 1682

The humble petic[i]on of William Dauid of Llanvaire Talhajarne in the s[ai]d County
Humbly shewing
That yo[u]r petic[i]oner faithfully served his late Ma[jes]ty King Charles the first of blessed memory in the late vnhappy warrs in the Regim[en]t of Col[one]l Hugh Wyn wherein he rec[eive]d seu[er]all wounds & faithfully discharg’d his trust and now made vncapable to yearn his livelihood being both blind & aged 60 yeares and vpwards, his fidelity in the s[ai]d service does more att lardge appe[ar] in a Certificate (now filed) vnder the hand of Major Rob[er]t Wyn[n].
The pr[e]misses considered May it therefore please yo[u]r wo[rshi]pps to readmitt yo[u]r petic[i]oner to receaue his former penc[i]on. And he as in Duty bound shall eu[er] pray &c.
p[er] order This petic[i]oner is to have v s. quarterly and to receiue at the next quarter.
