The petition of William Bullivant, Derbyshire, 5 April 1648

To the Right Hono[ura]ble the Comittee for this County of Darby, the Petition of William Bullivant a soldier late vnder the Com[m]and of Major Molinus humbly
Sheweth.
That whereas yo[u]r petitioner was shott through both the Buttocks & fundament at Belvoyer since w[hi]ch tyme yo[u]r petitioner hath layne vnder the Cherugons hands, not beinge able (in respect of his said wounds) to worke for the mentaynance of himselfe & wife and is vtterly impouerished for want of some releife now soe it is that yo[u]r petitioner, hath p[ro]cured freinds that hee may be receiued into the Hospitall at London only yo[u]r petitioner wants meanes to furnish himselfe w[i]th necessarie accomdation for his Jo[u]rney
May it therefore please yo[u]r hono[u]rs the pr[e]misses Considered to allow yo[u]r petition[e]r some such Competent some of money as shall seeme agreeable to yo[u]r owne wisdoms, in lue of p[ar]te of yo[u]r petitioners Arreares, towards the expediteinge yo[u]r [sic.] petitioners pr[e]sent jo[u]rney w[i]thout w[hi]ch hee is noe way able to compasse his intentions in the desire of his health & limbes, And yo[u]r petitioner will dayly pray &c.
5th Aprill 1648
Ordered that Mr Buxton Tre[asure]r pay the Petic[i]o[ne]r Thirty shillings in p[ar]te full of his areres to beare his charges to London.
