The humble petic[i]on of William Browninge of St Michaells

<Sheweth>

That the petic[i]oner was Impresst for Ireland att the last Recruit {illegible} sent over, continued in service vntill August last att w[hi]ch tyme beinge infirme and wantinge health as by his Certificat{e} appeareth was Forced to yeild his Arreares and A months pay to another to serue in his place. And Forasmuch as hee never receaued anie hire nor allowance from the Town[shi]pp of Sowerby for w[hi]ch he served and humbly conceaueinge hee beeinge vnable & vnfitt for service ought to bee releeued.

Humblie prayeth yo[u]r Order to bee directed [to] the Inhabitants w[i]thin the said Township of Inskipp cu[m] Sowerby for the payme{nt} of such monthlie or other allowance towar{ds} his lyvelyhood & subsistence as in yo[u]r wisedomes shall seme meete. And as in duty bound hee shall pray &c
