The petition of William Baggeley of Eccleshall, Staffordshire, January 1649

To the Right Worshipfull his Maij[e]st[i]es Just[ices] of peace for the Countie of Stafford at the Sessions held at Stafford.

The humble peticion of William Baggeley late Leeftenente to Captaine Tho[mas] Hunte.

Sheweth that your peticioner havinge lost the vse of his righte arme w[i]th a Continuall [?yssue] from the wound and hath receiued from the tresereres but thirty shillinges sixe pence at one time and tenn shilings the last Sessions receiuinge from them noe other allowance then any priuate souldier neither regarding whether the wounds be little or greate.

May it therefore please you to take it into your Consideration that your peticioner may have sume Considerable allowance allotted him according to ordnance of p[ar]l[ia]ment that he may the better be inabled to meintaine him selfe and familie and your Peticioner as in all duty shall eu[e]r be bounde to praye.
