The petition of William B, Derbyshire, 3 February 1647

To the Ho[noura]ble Com[m]ittee fo{r the county} of Derby

The humble petic[i]on of William B{illegible}

Humbly sheweth

That yo[u]r Petic[ione]r haveing beene a Souldier vnder the Com[m]and of Major Mollanus for the space of almost four yeares dureing which tyme yo[u]r petic[ione]r hath done good service to the state, and yo[u]r petic[ione]r haueing beene sore wounded at Belvoir Castle at the last Siege yo[u]r petic[ione]r was forced to give Twenty shillings for his cure, which was the greatest p[ar]te of his estate

Yo[u]r petic[ione]r therefore humbly prays that this ho[noura]ble Com[m]ittee would bee pleased to allow him the said Twenty shillings which yo[u]r petic[ione]r paid for his cure as aforesaid:

And yo[u]r petic[ione]rshall pray &c

<It is ordered by the Com[mi]ttee that Mr Buxton Treasurer pay the Petic[i]oner ye sume of twenty shillings>
