The petition of William Asque of King’s Cliffe, Northamptonshire, Easter 1662

To the hono[ura]ble the Justices assembled att the generall Quarter Sessions holden for the County of North[amp]ton[shire].

The humble petic[i]on of William Asque:

<Sheweth> That yo[u]r petic[i]oner being in the servise of the late Kinge of blessed memory was a Souldier vnder the Com[m]and of the Right hono[ura]ble James Earle of North[amp]ton was in the s[ai]d servise wounded as in a {illegible} herevnto annexed {illegible}.

Hee yo[u]r petic[i]oner humbly prayeth that hee may have the Order of this hono[ura]ble Co[u]t for a penc[i]on out of the publique stocke of this County apointed for such maymed souldiers & yo[u]r petic[i]oner shall ever pray &c:

20 s. p[er] ann[u]m quarterly out of the east division
