To the right Ho[nour]able the Justices of ye peace at the Quarter Sessions of the peace holden at Nether Knotsford the 20th of Janu[ar]y 1651.
The Humble petic[i]on of widdow Rowlinson
<Sheweth:>
That yo[u]r petic[i]oners husbands [sic.] hath bene a soldier vnder Colonell Henry Brooke at Norton house and Holte Castle till the end of the late Warrs, since w[hi]ch time yo[u]r petic[i]oners said husband was in Actuall service in Scotland vnder Colonell Daniell and is since dead. That yo[u]r petic[i]oners husband by Reason hee was maimed in the parliam[en]t service was alowed by Order of Sessions as may apeare by the Order of Sessions herevnto anexed the sume of 40 s. p[er] Ann[um]: yt since the said Order yo[u]r petic[i]oners husband is a great p[ar]t of his Allowance in Areare, yt yo[u]r petic[i]oner hath noe meanes at all to maintaine her selfe and poore Children haueing bene a long time sicke [illegible] and her poore Children readie to starve for want of Releefe.
Yo[u]r poore petic[i]oner humbly prajs [sic.] yo[u]r honnors to graunt yo[u]r Order yt shee may receaue such Areares as may bee found due to her deceased Husband to reliefe her and poore Children and yo[u]r petic[i]oner will eu[er] pray.
