The petition of Trooper Stephen Watts, Thomas Horton’s Regiment, 16 March 1649

To ye Right Hono[ura]ble the Com[mi]ttee for the Army.

The humble petic[i]on of Stephen Watts

Sheweth

That yo[u]r pet[itione]r hath serued ye Parl[iamen]t as Trooper in Capt[ain] Burges his troope in Col[one]l Hortons Reg[imen]t from about Aprill 1646 till about December 1647 & being wounded in the seruice & soe disabled from his calling, as by Certificate vnder Mr Dunns hand appeareth being maymed in his right Arme.

Yo[u]r pet[itione]r haueing some arreares due for his seruice humbly prayeth yo[u]r Hono[u]rs his accompts may be stated, & his arreares paid

And he shall pray.

State & pay

<Att ye Com[mi]ttee of Lords & Com[m]ons for the Army. 16 Martij 1648.>

<Ordered>

<That ye Com[missa]ry Generall of ye Musters or his Deputy doe forthwith certify this Com[mi]ttee for ye pet[itione]r stands vpon the seu[er]all Musters of the Army & doe affix the same to this petic[i]on.>
