The petition of Thomas Wood of Addle cum Eccup, West Riding of Yorkshire, 15 July 1680

To the right honourable his maiesties Justices of the peace for the west Ryding

The humble petition of Captaine Thomas Wood of Adle cum Eccupe aged sixty six yeares

humbly sheweth that yo[u]r petitionors pention is taken from him, and that he is impotent in respect of his woundes, and imperfect in sight by reason of his age, and is not able to vndertake any calling whereby he may git a liuelyhood, but in all likelyhood will perish vnlesse yo[u]r honours will be pleased to grant him an order, to the ouerseers for the poore of Adle cum Eccupe for his reliefe, what as yo[u]r wisdomes shall thinke fit, and your petone[r] will euer pray

Order yt the Petition[e]r have Eighteene pence a weeke vntill cause be shewne
