To the Hon[oura]ble bench the right wor[shipfu]ll his Ma[jes]t[y]s Just{ices of} the peace & Quoru[m], holding ye Quarter Sesions for {the} Countie of Chester and at Namptwich assembled

The humble Petic[i]on of Thomas Trickett of Audlem in ye s[ai]d County Laborer

Shewing

Whereas yo[u]r s[ai]d Petic[i]oner having most dilligently and faithfully served in p[er]son for many yeares in ye warrs for our late Sou[er]aigne Lord, the kings Ma[jes]tie Charles ye first of happy memory (w[hi]ch is well knowne to Major Gennerall Randle Egerton, and to divers other p[er]sons of Eminency, whose hands to certify might not be wanting but for the abridgm[en]t of time, and the remotem[en]t of their distances) yo[u]r Peti[ti]oner being then servant to the wor[shipfu]ll William Hassall Com[m]issary Genn[er]all who was vnd[e]r ye Command & Conduct of his highnes, Prince Rupart, and the right Hon[oura]ble the Lord Byron. Yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r then being in his s[ai]d Ma[jes]t[y]s service as well at Yorke voyage, as alsoe in divers other places in this kingdome, during all the time of ye former warrs. And being now aged, hath taken humble boldnes to supplicate this Hon[oura]ble bench; That their wor[shi]pps tend[e]r favo[u]r (vpon their wor[shi]pps Judicious considerac[i]ons had) may be extended to yo[u]r poore Petic[i]on[er], as hath been to others in ye like case P[ro]vided for: And right wor[shipfu]ll: It being soe, That in the neighbourhood, the usuall paym[en]t of a Penc[i]on to another w[hi]ch served in ye s[ai]d warrs is become void, by reason of his late decease; vizt: Randle Whittakers of Hunsterson. Might it therefore please yo[u]r Wor[shi]ps to ord[e]r ye same penc[i]on (or ye like) towards ye reliefe & future livelihood of yo[u]r Petic[i]on[e]r, And he shall eu[er] pray for yo[u]r wor[shi]ps preservac[i]on & p[ro]sp[er]ity.

July ye 9th:
