The petition of Thomas Sudlowe, Cheshire, Easter 1652

To the right Worship[fu]ll the Justices of Peace and other the Com[m]icioners the humble petic[i]on of Thomas Sudlowe a Souldiar For the Milicia as Followeth
Humbly Sheweth that yo[u]r pore petic[i]oner served the State vnder the com[m]and of Henry Brooke in the late expedicion at Woochester And ther he was wounded and vtterly maimed For ever to his vtter vndoeing vnless some speedy course be aforded For his For his releefe and Maintainance he is like to starue &c
May it therfore please yo[u]r good worshipps the premisses considred to afford him some Releefe in this his great ness[es]itie he being noe way able to mentaine him selfe And he yo[u]r pore petticioner as in duty bound will ever pray For yo[u]r pore [sic.] good wor[shi]pps helth and happines long to contineue
