The petition of Thomas Seede of Croston, Lancashire, Michaelmas 1676

To the Right wor[shi]pp[fu]ll the Kings Ma[jes]t[y]s Justices of Pe{ace} and Quor[um] for the County Pal[atine] of Lanc[aster]

The humble petic[i]on of Thomas Seede of Croston in the said County.

Most humbly sheweth

That yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r faithfully served his late Ma[jes]ty of blessed memory in the late unhappy warrs, and some years since produced certificates to ye then Justices of Peace & Quor[um] within Leyland hundred from his feild officers & Comission officers of yt service, and humbly desired ye allowance of an indigent Souldier, which they were pleased to grant by verball order upon ye next vacancy: But as yett yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r hath not rece[i]ved any allowance, although hee bee very needy and a charge of smale children.

May it therefore please yo[u]r good wor[shi]pps to allow yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r such yearly penc[i]on as yow in yo[u]r discretions see fitt.

And hee as nevertheles in duty bound will pray &c

when the treasurer maks his accounts
