The petition of Thomas Salthouse of Burcough, Lancashire, Michaelmas 1667

To ye R[igh]t wor[shi]p[fu]ll his Ma[jes]t[y]s Justices of peace and Quor[um] in their Gen[e]rall Q[uarte]r sessions at Wiggan
The Petic[i]on of Thomas Salthouse of Burscough lane
Humbly sheweth.
That yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r hath faithfully served the Kings Ma[jes]t[y]s & his Royall fathers in ye late warrs & never deserted that service, but therein hath bin a great sufferer both in his p[er]son & Estate, whereby he is reduced to greate indigency & want having a greate charge of children himselfe & wife & very litle for theire subsistence. And that a Certificate testifieng yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]rs Loyalty & constancy is vpon ye file in this Court ready to be p[ro]duced.
May it therefore please yo[u]r wor[shi]pps to grant to yo[u]r petic[ione]r an Order for some pencion of ye money granted by Act of Parliam[en]t in that behalf for ye supply of his pr[e]sent necessitious condicion. And hee shall pray &c.
