The petition of Thomas Price of Hereford, Herefordshire, 1665 to 1668

To the Right Worshipfull Mr Mayor with the Rest of his Worship[fu]ll Breathren sitting at Quarter Sessions holden for the Citty of Heriford, The Humble petic[i]on Supplic[i]acon & Request of Thomas Price Taylor, of the same Citie.

Sheweth that yo[u]r poore petic[i]oner is in a very low and meane Condic[i]on hauing Fower Motherless Children left him, yo[u]r poor petic[i]oner hauing had greate losses by these late vnhappy wars, yo[u]r petic[i]oner being allwayes loyall to his Maiesty and his Father of Blessed memory vnder in whose seruice yo[u]r poor peticoner receiued such wounds that hath all most disabled him for taking paines at his Calling for to maintaine his family and withall hauing allmost lost the sence of his hearing which is a greate hinerance to him, yo[u]r petic[i]oner hauing a sonne fitting to goe to be a prentis and wanting meanes yo[u]r peticoner therefore humble beseecheth yo[u]r worships graciously to be pleased to grant him a share of that money that was giuen by Mr Harper deceased for such Charitable vses and yo[u]r poor petic[i]oner shall be bound to pray for yo[u]r worships health and happiness &c
