The petition of Thomas Jackson of Aston, Cheshire, 12 January 1664

To ye ho[noura]ble his Ma[jes]t[y]s Justices of ye peace at ye generall sessions of ye peace held at Chester Jan[uary] 12 1663
The humble petition of [illegible] Thomas Jackson of Aston neare Sutton
Sheweth
That your petitioner at ye begining of ye late Iunhappy warres was inlisted a souldier in in ye regiment of horse under ye com[m]aund of Sir Thomas Aston Baronet deceased in the service of his late Ma[jes]ty and that your petitioner euer continued a souldier in his sayd Ma[jes]t[y]s service for ye space of foure yeares and three quarters and neuer deserted the same And for yt your petitioner is impouerished by ye s[ai]d warre and hath noethinge to maintaine him withall
May it please you to order yt your petitioner bee admitted a pentioner and receiue such pention quarterly from ye Treasurer of ye County as to this Co[u]rt shall seeme fit and yo[u]r petitioner as in duty bound shall eyer pray &c
