The petition of Thomas Hunton, residence unknown, May 1660

The humble petic[i]on of Tho[mas] Hunton son of James Hunton deceased

Sheweth

that yo[u]r Pet[itione]rs said Father James Hunton did become Surety for his Brother Robert Hunton in above Five hundred pounds who being in the late Kings Ma[jes]ties service did there loose his life by reason whereof yo[u]r Pet[itione]rs said Father James Hunton was putt in Prison for the said debt and was there constreined to sell what estate he had towards the satisfacc[i]on thereof and was kept in Prison for the Remainder and did there dye to the vtter vndoing of yo[u]r Pet[itione]r.

The premisses therefore considered yo[u]r Pet[itione]r doth most humbly pray that yo[u]r wors[hip] would be pleased as he is a poore Kinsman of yo[u]rs and having not wherewithall to maintaine him to stand his Freind for some place whereby he may become a servant to the Kings Ma[jes]tie or else to take him into yo[u]r owne service.

And yo[u]r Pet[itione]r shall pray &c.
