To the Hono[ura]ble the Justices of Peace att the Quarter Sessions held att Knottesford the Fift daie of October A[nn]o d[o]m[ini] 1675.
The humble Petic[i]on of Captaine Thomas Greene
<Sheweth>
That whereas your Petic[i]oner in the late Warrs hath [illegible] spent his Estate in his Ma[jes]ties service in the Capacity of a Captaine And thereby hath not where withall to mainteyne himselfe by reason of his sufferings & losses in the service of his late Ma[jes]tie and his Ma[jes]tie that now is:

Yo[u]r Petic[i]oner humbly praies that hee may have a yearely Penc[i]on graunted unto him for his maintenance And the Order of this Court for the receiveing thereof And yo[u]r Petic[i]oner as in duty bound will ever praie &c
