To the Right Hono[ura]ble the Judg & Justices for the County of Kent.

The humble petic[i]on of Tho[mas] Gadsby of Birchenton

<Sheweth>

That yo[u]r pet[itione]r hath bine a Sould[ie]r in Douer Castle vnd[e]r S[i]r Edward Boyse & vnd[e]r the Wo[rshi]pp[fu]ll Maior Tho[mas] Fourth & now hath received a Fall from a horse w[hi]ch hath disabled him from doeing service for the State

Yo[u]r pet[itione]r humbly prayeth yo[u]r Hono[u]rs to grant him a pention he not haueing where w[i]th all to Maintaine his famyly but are ready to perish for

And yo[u]r pet[itione]r shall Ever pray &c

<The Tre[asure]r of the County stocke to pay him forty shillings becoming [illegible] & disabled by a fall in the service of the Com[m]onwealth.>
