To the Right Wor[shipfu]ll the Justices of the peace of the County of Denbeigh sitting in open Quarter sessions at Ruthin in the County of Denbeigh the 8th of Octob[e]r 1667

The humble petition of Thomas Evans of Llanrhaiader a maimed & indigent souldier

Humbly sheweth

That yo[u]r Petitioner was a Souldier at the beginning of ye Warre in S[i]r Tho[mas] Salusbury’s Regiment; vnder L[ieutenan]t Col[one]l Reydon and since continued in his late Ma[jes]ties service (of blessed Memory) under ye Command of Maior Moris in Holt Castle & Maior Manley in Denbeigh Castle, till ye surrender of it; & ever since continued faithfull to his Ma[jes]tye as by the Certificate hereunto annexed appearers [sic] & not pressing to trouble yo[u]r Wor[shi]ps till it pleased God of late, to deprive him of his eye sight: & disable him in his vocation to gaine his liveing. He humbly beggs to be admitted a pentioner, for w[hi]ch yo[u]r petition[e]r shall ever pray &c.

8 Oct[ober] 1667 allowed 5 s. quarter in the first vacated place aftre that John ap Hugh of Llanverwyd be admitted the record entred in booke
