The petition of Thomas Dicconson of Charnock, Lancashire, Michaelmas 1674

Whereas Thomas Dicconson of Charnocke In the parrish of Standish hath serued [illegible] the kinges ma[jes]tie as as [sic.] a faithfull souldgier for seu[er]all yeares vnd[e]r the Com[m]and of Mr Will[ia]m Houghton of Parke Halle esq[uire] beinge then Lifetenant Corronell of A Regim[en]t and Afterwards vnder S[i]r Thomas Tildsley And neu[e]r deserted his ma[jes]ties seruice & of late is growne ould & hath lost An eye therfore he humbly desires that his ma[jes]ties Justices will bee pleasd to order some yearly pension towrds [sic.] his maintenance for the faithfull seruice hee hath done as it is well knowne to those which subscribe there names
