To the Honourable Bench At the quarter Sessions Houlden Att Lancast[e]r the 13 of January An[n]o 1675.

The Humble petic[i]on of Thomas Brade of Thurnam In the County of Lancast[e]r Husbandman whoe is A veary poore man and was A Truper vnder the Command of Colnell Dalton And severall other of his Ma[jes]ties officers In the Late warrs And was disabled. And was ordred to haue his Ma[jes]t[y]s Allowances As A Maimed souldger and haue Receiued haue Rec[eive]d [sic.] it seuerall yeares and Nowe I am denyed of it. Soe I doe begg of the onnerable bench to knowe what is the Reason wherein I am detayned of it Att this present And In soe doeinge yo[u]r poore peticionor will bee euer bound In duty to pray for you.
