The petition of Thomas Blinkin of the Town and County of Kingston-upon-Hull, 23 March 1648

To the hon[oura]ble Com[m]ittee at Derby.

The humble petic[i]on of Thomas Blinkin.

<Humbly> sheweth that your petic[i]oner comeing from Hull with that Company of Foote called Grey coates, served in this towne (then Garrison of Derby) about Twelue moneths, towards the end of which tearme yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r was maimed, & being thereby disabled for Service, in arreare alsoe of his pay Twenty weeks, yo[u]r petic[i]oner was necessitated to returne backe to Hull his natiue place.

Yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r therefore humbly prayes this hon[oura]ble Com[m]ittee to take the premisses into considerac[i]on, & grant yo[u]r pet[i]t[ione]r his said arrears, or such p[ar]te of them as your wisdoms shall thinke fitt.

And yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r shall ever pray &c.

March 23th 1647

Ordered that Mr Buxton Tre[asure]r pay the Petic[ione]r the sume of Forty shillings
