The petition of Thomas Axon, Cheshire, Michaelmas 1660

To the R[igh]t Hono[ura]ble the Justices of Peace for the County of Chester

The humble Petic[i]on of Thomas Axon

Humbly Sheweth

That yo[u]r Petic[i]on[er] did faithfully serve his late Majesty all along the late Warrs vnder the Com[m]and of Major Gen[era]ll Walter

That yo[u]r Petic[i]on[e]r did serve vnder S[i]r George Booth in the late Service att Winington vnder the Com[m]and of S[i]r Phillip Egerton where hee received a dangerous wound

That yo[u]r Petic[i]on[e]r hath a great charge of wife and Children, is a very poore man and hath noething to live on

humbly prayes the ord[e]r of this Hono[ura]ble Co[u]rt for some annuall penc[i]on for his releife

And hee will ever pray &c
