The humble Petic[i]on of Rob[e]rt Taylor Raph Braslye Richard Hildich George Tankard & Edward Willians of Bridgmere Raph Cooke John Sharples Richard Beeston & W[illia]m Barnitt of Chechley

Sheweth

That yo[u]r petit[i]on[e]rs beinge but poore men, & most of the[m] haueinge no meanes at all in the s[ai]d townes for w[hi]ch they serued as Soldiors of the militia in the late seruice vnder the Comand of Capt[ain] Delues haue neuerthelesse bin imployed for the sa[i]d townes wheras others of far greater ability haue bin freed To the greate losse & hinderance of yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]rs, vnlesse yo[u]r wor[shi]ps will take such orders therein as may tend to there spedy releife w[hi]ch yt yow would be pleased to doe yo[u]r Petic[i]on[e]rs do humbly pray
