The petition of Susanna Vaughan of Whittlebury, Northamptonshire, Easter 1668

To the Right Hono[ra]ble the Justices of the peace for the County of North[amp]ton[shire]

Humbly Sheweth

The humble Petic[i]on of Susanna Vaughan of Whittlebury

That yo[u]r Petic[i]oner haveing for some yeares last past received the yearely Penc[i]on of Eight pounds vntill this ho[noura]ble bench were pleased otherwise to order it such that yo[u]r Petic[i]on[er] att this time is and for for a long time hath bin very auntient and cruely indigent, And that yo[u]r Petic[i]ioner did likewise loose her late husband in the late vnhappy wars in the service of his late Ma[jes]tie as by a Certificate vnder the hand of the Right hono[ura]ble James Earle of North[amp]ton more plainely doth appeare

Humbly pray yo[u]r hono[u]rs to take her Condic[i]on into yo[u]r serious considerac[i]ons and to continue the sayd Penc[i]on if to yo[u]r hono[u]rs it shall seeme meete.

And yo[u]r Petic[i]oner shall ever pray &c

<this is to bee considered in ye surplusage of ye west Division>
