The petition of Susanna Tappenden, residence unknown, 5 March 1649

To ye Right Hono[ura]ble ye Com[m]ittee for the Army.
The humble petic[i]on Mrs [sic.] An Susanna Tappenden late wife & Adm[inistrat]r[i]x of Capt[ain] John Tappenden.
Sheweth
That yo[u]r pet[itione]rs husband hath faithfully serued ye Parl[iamen]t as Capt[ain] of foote in Col[one]l Pickerings now Col[one]l Hewsons Regim[en]t in ye Army of his Ex[cellen]cie the Lord Fairfax, till he dyed in the said seruice. And haueing some arreares due for his seruice,
Yo[u]r pet[itione]r humbly prayeth yo[u]r Hono[ur]s to giue order for the stateing of her late husbands accompts & paym[en]t of his arreares.
And shee shall pray &c.
State & pay
Att ye Com[m]ittee of Lords & Com[m]ons for the Army. 5o Martij 1648.
Ordered
That ye Com[missa]ry Gen[era]ll of the Musters or his Deputy doe forthwith certify this Com[mi]ttee how ye pet[itione]rs husband stood vpon the seu[er]all Musters of the Army & doe affix the same to this petic[i]on.
